MEMBERSHIP

Members of CPTP have a diverse range of experience and skills. From first-timers to professionals seeking the chance to try out new ideas, all are welcome.

All actors, backstage staff and show management teams are required to be members of CPTP, for which there is a fee (see opposite).

Membership benefits:
- Opportunities to be actively involved in our productions
- Exclusive or discounted writing, technical and acting workshops, as and when they're organised
- Regular members' newsletters, detailing auditions ahead of the company's main mailouts
- Voting rights at the company's Annual General Meeting

As well as actors, many other vital people are needed to make our plays successful.

We need technical wizards to design lighting, sound, sets and costumes. We need people with the ability to find the unlikliest item and make it of use in a play, be it a prop, a costume or an item of furniture. And we need resourceful people with management skills to direct, produce and stage manage.

But most of all we need members who enjoy working as part of a collaborative creative team and know how to have fun.

Membership Rates

All membership categories last for 12 months from when your application is processed. If you join as part of a production, your membership start date will be the production's audition date.

Standard Rate: £40
The standard rate covers everyone who wishes to act, direct, produce, stage manage or be otherwise involved in the company.

Standard Rate (Equity discount): £35
Equity members get a £5 discount on this rate, so pay £35.)

Standard Rate (Renewal after first year): £20
If you renew your membership within two weeks of membership expiring

Concession Rate: £25
The concession rate is available for the following categories:
NUS/ISIC, Registered Disabled, Senior Citizens, UB40. You must provide your ID (eg. UB40 book, NUS card) and at least one of the following: passport, driver's licence, birth certificate, when applying for this rate.

Family Rate: £50
The family rate covers two people who live at the same address. Both become full members. Only one membership form is needed per family - however, please write all names and e-mail addresses on the reverse.

Friends Rate: £15
The friends rate means you will receive all benefits of being a member, EXCEPT being directly involved in the shows (acting, directing, &C.). It is a rate aimed mostly at people who have moved out of the London area, but who still wish to remain in touch with and support the company.

Fill in the form and, together with your cheque payable to 'Chelsea Players', bring them to our next members' social. Alternatively, email us for bank transfer details.
