Press Information - Catchphrase Aid London based comedy sketch group the GOOD, the BAD & the FUNNY will launch Catchphrase Aid at this year’s Edinburgh Festival. “We’ve invented User Generated Comedy”, says director Stuart Burrows. “For each performance we want the audience to create the catchphrase. “We’ll choose the winner seconds before the show starts and then it’s up to the cast to think quickly and work it into the show.” “Thanks!” say cast members Sarah Cantrill, Ian Ward, Emma Pearson and Pete Picton. The group, who have been drawn from several London Theatre companies including fifth time Edinburgh visitors CP Productions, have spent a year writing, honing and performing their material in various comedy venues in the capital. “The performers will be out with clipboards, on the streets of Edinburgh asking the public to contribute catchphrases,” says Stuart. “So if you see them, challenge their comedy muscles with the quirkiest catchphrase you can. And then come along to our show at Sweet Teviot (Venue 295) to see how they cope.” “Cheers,” say cast members Sarah Cantrill, Ian Ward, Emma Pearson and Pete Picton.
