PRODUCTION NOTES
CP Theatre Productions present their new production of William Shakespeare’s ‘The Life of Timon' at The Putney Arts Theatre from 10th -15th March.
This show has been previewed by the Putney Guardian, page 23. Read it online here.
This exciting new adaptation will modernize this rarely performed Shakespeare plan. In this show, Timon is a successful but naive actor surrounded by shallow hangers on, painters, poets and up and coming band members. He finds himself crippled by debt and must re-mortgage his home to pay his bar bills. His friends quickly abandon him and so he takes to the streets to avoid his bailiffs and drinks himself into an asylum.
With a slowly dissolving set and Burlesque dancers, this Shakespeare play is accessible and relevant to a modern audience.
